Point System Adjusted for CRA/Sunoco Super Series

D.N.F.’s and D.N.Q.’s to be Less Punitive – Post Season Awards to 20 Positions

Salem, IN (March 15, 2004) – Champion Racing Association/Sunoco Super Series officials announced today adjustments to their point system used to determine the season long championship and Rookie of the Year honors. The new system is identical to the one previously used, where qualifying points and race points for positions 1 through 26 are concerned. The new system, however, will award the same points for positions 26 through the end of the field. With the new system, the last place finisher will earn 50 points regardless if starting field is 26 or more. Click Here.
