– On their first trip to Anderson Speedway the Vore’s Welding and
Steel FWD Compacts raced 50 laps with over 30 cars starting the
feature, a veteran Anderson driver with a new granddaughter winning,
and a rookie ending up third.
Joe Beaver’s daughter,
previous CRA Street Stock winner Katie Jackson, delivered a baby girl
early last week. Beaver was the fast qualifier and started the race 27th.
He then put on a clinic passing cars on the high side, diving low and
splitting cars to run through the middle of a field that was often
three wide to take the lead on the 14th lap. From there he
never trailed, but had his teammate Mark Mason sticking with him all
the way.
"It was fun", Beaver stated
from Victory Lane. "These cars are fun to drive out there."
Mason
finished second. Rookie of the Year contender Justin Brown was
third, Tim Dilg fourth, and Bill Leisure fifth.
The next
event for the Vore’s Welding and Steel CRA FWD Compacts will be
Saturday, September 19 at Baer Field Speedway in Ft. Wayne, IN. They

Lubricants. The HOSS winged sprint cars will also be racing at Baer
