Nashville, TN (November 5, 2006) – Joliot, IL’s Croatian Rebel, Boris Jurkovic, had finished second the last two times the CRA Super Series had raced at the Music City Motorplex, in last years All American 400 Weekend and this years season opener All American 150.  Taking his first lead on the 198th lap he held on to move up one spot and win the 2006 CRA All American 200. Jurkovic’s victory capped a 24th Annual All American 400 weekend that had everything. Over 70 cars were at the track in an attempt to be in the CRA Super Series presented by Spray Power 40 car field, a new track record, a first time Music City Motorplex winner who took the lead with only three laps to go, and a fan friendly atmosphere that captivated the crowd throughout the three days.

"This race brings out the best of the best, they are all here and that is why we keep coming back. If you can win here you can win anywhere."  A jubilant Jurkovic stated from Victory Lane.

There were six different leaders without anyone being dominate throughout the race. Indianapolis, IN’s Chris Gabehart took the early lead from the pole after setting a new track record and held the lead for the first 76 laps until the first round of pit stops when Shane Sieg stayed out and inherited the lead. Dalton, GA’s Sieg held the lead for the south for 18 laps when Landon Cassill, from Fairfax, IA, took the lead when Sieg pitted.

Pensacola, FL’s Eddied Mercer took the lead from Cassill with clean aggressive driving, passing many cars on the outside and moving through the field quickly to take the point. Jake Ryan traveled from Farmington, MN and took the lead from Mercer on the 136th lap.

Jurkovic and Mercer, with less than 30 laps to go, both took four new tires during late pit stops causing them to restart back in the pack. Jurkovic took his new tires at a stop with just over 50 laps to go, he then charged through the field to the front. He moved into the second place on lap 191 and raced with Ryan for the next several laps, side by side for a few laps taking the lead by driving under Ryan when he slipped up on the track as the two came through the third turn on the 197th lap.

The 90s car of Justin Wakefield coasted to a stop on the back stretch causing a caution while Jurkovic and Ryan raced toward the white flag setting up a green, white, checker finish. On the restart Jurkovic took off and left the field while Ryan worked to hold off Mercer, Cassill and Russell Fleeman to finish second. Mercer was third, Cassill fourth and Fleeman finished two laps of furious racing fifth as the drivers raced around the track three wide at times right on Ryan’s rear bumper.

Practice proved treacherous for many drivers with 70 drivers drawing for qualifying positions, but only 63 taking times as the practice on Saturday claiming several cars, including one pre-race favorite. Jeff Lane became involved in an accident with only a few minutes left before practice ended when couple of other cars spun directly in front of him and gathered him up into it. Lane then drove a borrowed car started 34th and finished 18th only one lap down. Jack Landis another pre-race favorite lost an engine on Friday and ended his weekend early.

Jason Shively started 39th in the All American 200, but he won one young fan for life during the on track autograph session. John Robert Howland was attending his first race. When he was looking into Shively’s 99 car, Jason put the young man in the car so he could see what it looked like to drive the car.

When Howland's mother lamented she did not bring a camera to get a picture, a member of Shively’s crew took a picture with a disposable camera and gave the camera to his mother. Throughout the race Howland was rooting for Shivley, and while he did not win Howland was excited his driver did finish the race and Shively has a new number one fan.

For his many great moves to get to the front Mercer earned the Sweet Manufacturing "Sweet Move of the Race" award. The Charlie Bradberry Pole Award presented by Full Throttle Race Parts award went to Chris Gabehart, with his record breaking fast lap. He also earned the Lynch Tree Service Lap Leader Award for leading the most laps.

For moving up 26 positions JR Roahrig earned the ISKY Racing Cams/Lane Automotive Hard Charger Award. Moving up 22 positions earned Chuck Barnes, Jr. the Five Star Racecar Bodies Hard Charger Award. Cassill was the RaceTrailerSales.com Halfway Leader. Sieg was the recipient of the Charlie Bradberry Memorial Lap 78 Award presented by Full Throttle Race Parts for leading the 78th lap.

The Guaranteed Start for the Mason Dixon Melt-Down on Thanksgiving Weekend at South Boston Speedway went to Jurkovic along with the Five Flags Speedway Snow Ball Derby Entry and four new Hoosier Tires for the Snow Ball Derby. Jurkovic’s crew chief Fred Rhompler won the Marvel Mystery Oil Mechanic of the Race. The Five Star Race Bodies Hard Luck Award went to Rich Segvich. Jeff Fultz receives 4 new Circle Racing Wheels via random draw of all drivers starting the race, Rick Turner and Andy Ponstein will receive 2 new Circle Racing Wheels as winners of those not starting race.

The next CRA Super Series Event will be the 2006 Season Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 6, more information on that event will be released very soon. Watch www.craracing.net for updates on the 2007 rules and schedule.
