Culy Construction To Sponsor CRA Sportsman Season Championship Event With The

35th Annual Ed Martin Auto Group Winchester 400 Weekend

Winchester, IN (September 27, 2006) – Winchester Speedway officials have announced that Culy Construction has agreed to be the title sponsor of the CRA Sportsman Season Championship event on Friday, October 13th of the 35th Annual Ed Martin Auto Group Winchester 400 Weekend. The Culy Construction 40 will be the final event in the inaugural 2006 season for the CRA Sportsman series.

Cedar Lake, Indiana native Keith Sterkowitz will come into the Culy Construction 40 with a 30 point lead over Terry Fisher Jr. in second with 482 points and a 32 point lead over Al Cook Jr. in third place with 480 points, but is still looking for his first win with the CRA Sportsman series. Fisher Jr. has one win at Baer Field Speedway and Al Cook Jr. is the series only two time winner with a win in the season opener at Anderson Speedway and a victory on July 23rd at Winchester Speedway.

Zach Hulvey is currently in fourth place in points with 432, Rick Tackman Jr. is in fifth place with 427 points. Scott Runion is in sixth with 422 points followed Billy Hutson in seventh with 402 points and Justin May in eighth with 386 points. Winchester, Indiana’s Kevin Cook is currently in 10th place in points and is sponsored by Culy Construction.

Rick Rinehart was a surprise winner at the series last event on Labor Day Weekend at Winchester Speedway. Rinehart didn’t arrive to the track until Monday morning after winning the Limited Late Model Season Championship at Angola Motor Speedway on that Sunday night. Rinehart started on the tail and ended up in victory lane at the end of his first ever race on the famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway. Rinehart and several new competitors are expected for the Culy Construction 40.
