Winchester, IN (September 14,
2005) – The MAX 93.5/96.7 CRA Street Stocks will compete in the
MAX 93.5/96.7 CRA Street Stock 200 this Sunday, September 18th
at Winchester Speedway. The event will feature a $5000 first place

and a starting field that could approach 70 cars for a grueling 200
laps. The event will be a double points event for the MAX 93.5/96.7

Muncie, Indiana native Bret Miles won
the season opener for the MAX 93.5/96.7 CRA Street Stocks, as the
Miles family had three generations racing together for the first and
last time ever. The World Stock Car Festival on Labor Day Weekend saw
Louisville, Kentucky native Chuck Barnes Sr. take the win in the
make-up event from August 14th, but not with out some
controversy as he and Miles made contact in turn three coming for the
checkers. The contact resulted in Miles spinning in turn four, Barnes
went on and collected his first feature win at Winchester Speedway.
Miles returned to victory lane in the Labor Day feature event beating
a hard charging Dean Baker to the line for the victory, which he
dedicated to his father Dennis Miles who had passed away the week
prior.
Miles currently leads the MAX
93.5/96.7 CRA Street Stocks points with Sunday’s double points event
and the season championship event at Salem Speedway on Sunday, October
23rd still to go. Rich Boyer is currently second 46 points
behind Miles. Bret Miles Jr. is currently in third 52 points behind
his father. Jeff Perry in fourth 59 points back while Tim McLaughlin
