Motorsports and Brian Rievley To Host Pig Roast At The 35th
Annual Ed Martin Auto Group Winchester 400 Weekend
Winchester, IN (October 1, 2006)
– Hendricks County Motorsports along with Brian Rievley have announced
that they will host a Pig Roast on Saturday evening, October 14th
of the 35th Annual
Ed
Martin Auto Group Winchester 400 Weekend. The Pig Roast will be help
in conjunction with the Party in the Pavilion featuring live music
from the legendary MGB Band immediately following the racing events on
that Saturday evening. The host have ask that fans attending the Pig
Roast bring some kind of dish for a pitch in dinner for all attending,
the host will provide the meat and beans.
Indianapolis businessman Jim Winters,
a long time late model car owner, race promoter and supporter of the
CRA Super Series and Winchester Speedway owns Hendricks County
Motorsports. Chris Gabehart currently races for Winters and scored his
first CRA Super Series victory at Winchester Speedway in May of 2005.
Gabehart got his second series victory at O’Reilly’s Raceway Park this
past June 17th. Gabehart and the Hendricks County
Motorsports Team are entered for the 35th Annual Ed Martin
Auto Group Winchester 400. Hendricks County Motorsports has a second
car entered with the driver to be named at a later date.
Brian Rievley was the 1998 CRA Super
Series Champion driving for Hendricks County Motorsports. Rievley had
semi-retired from racing over the past several seasons, but made a
start in the April 23rd CRA Super Series event at
Winchester Speedway driving a team car to Eddie Van Meter with Muller
Motorsports. Rievley started in 13th place but worked his
way to the front making some great passes towards the end of the event
to get a third place finish, bringing many fans to there feet to cheer
one of their favorite all time drivers on the High Banks.
Rievley will compete in the 35th
Annual Ed Martin Auto Group Winchester 400 in a second Muller
Motorsports car with his familiar number 1. Brian’s father, renown
Crew Chief Bill Rievley, is the Crew Chief for Eddie Van Meter who is
currently in 4th place in CRA Super Series points and
scored his first victory with the series this season at Angola Motor
Speedway.
The 35th Annual Ed Martin
Auto Group Winchester 400 Weekend will kick off on Friday, October 13th
with open practice for all divisions competing during the weekend from
2 to 6:30pm. Round one of qualifying, locking in positions 1 through
24 for the 35th Annual Ed Martin Auto Group Winchester 400
will kick off the evening’s events at 7pm along with the 20 lap
Modified All Star Challenge and the Culy Construction 40, the CRA
Sportsman Season Championship event.
Saturday, October 14th
will start with practice again for all divisions competing on Saturday
and for the cars already locked in through first round qualifying for
the 35th Annual Ed Martin Auto Group Winchester 400 from
11am until 3:15pm. Qualifying for the support events will begin at
3:15pm with Second Round qualifying for the 35th Annual Ed
Martin Auto Group Winchester 400 that will lock in positions 25
through 30 at 5pm. The nights racing action will follow qualifying and
will include a 75-lap event for the CRA Outlaw Super Late Models, the
"Run for the Gun" 50-lap Modified event featuring the best of the USA
Modifieds versus the best of the American Modifieds and the 50 lap
Season Championship event for the CRA Street Stocks.
Sunday, October 15th will
be the final day of the 35th Annual Ed Martin Auto Group
Winchester 400 Weekend and will start with warm-up sessions for the
CRA Super Series late models at 10:45am. The entire starting line-up
will then be staged on the front stretch and all the fans will be
invited to come on to the track for an autograph session featuring all
the drivers racing on Sunday starting at 11:30am. Pre-race ceremonies
will start at 12:30pm. The 35th Annual Ed Martin Auto Group
Winchester 400 is scheduled to go green at 1pm.
Camping will be available at
Winchester Speedway starting on Thursday, October 12th on a
first come first serve basis with a $20 camping fee for the whole
weekend.
