Special Tire Procedures For the 35th Annual Ed Martin Auto Group 400:
 
The event is a 12 tire max race, you must start the event on the 4 tires you qualify on. Top 24 qualifiers must qualify on sticker tires purchased on Friday. All teams must use tires purchased from the series tire truck for their second and third sets. Teams will be allowed to have an additional 4 tires in their pits for emergency flat tires only, must be Hoosier 45's & 56's.
 
In an effort to try and avoid blistering tires, teams will have the opportunity to scuff their second and third sets of tires. The second race set will be given to teams on Friday to scuff. After qualifying on Friday evening the top 24 teams will take their qualifiers and everyone will take their second race set back to the impound area, were they will be kept until Sunday morning.
 
Teams will have an opportunity to scuff their third set of tires on Saturday, those tires, plus the qualifying tires for positions 25 through 30 must be taken to impound after qualifying on Saturday evening.
 
All tires for the 400 will be released at 9:30am Sunday morning. Teams must have their race tires and 4 emergency tires only in their pits by 12noon, officials will be marking the 4 emergency tires prior to the race. No other tires may be used for this event, using unapproved tires will result in penalties up to and possibly including disqualification.
 
Attention: In an effort to get teams unloaded in an orderly process and begin pre-tech, CRA Super Series teams will be allowed to begin unloading haulers at 9:30am on Friday morning October 13. Pits will be cleared out at 10:45am, pit passes will start selling at 11am and pit gates will officially open for all participating teams at that time. Pit stalls for the CRA Super Series teams will be assigned, you must contact the CRA Super Series office by October 11 if you have special pitting needs for the weekend.
