Salem, IN (October 9, 2006) –
Even with one CRA Super Series point’s event left in the 2006 season,
Loveland, Ohio native Danny Jackson has already secured a big enough
point advantage to win the 2006 CRA Super Series CD-2 Rookie Of The
Year Award. Jackson’s 12th place finish in
the
series last event at Rockford Speedway on September 24th
gave him enough points to secure the award over second place Rich
Segvich, who finished 22nd in that event. The third
generation driver joins a distinguished list of former series rookie
of the year award winners including Tommy St. John in 2005, Chris
Gabehart in 2004, Chuck Barnes Jr. in 2003, Andy Ponstein in 2002,

Year Award by 195 points over Rich Segvich, the only other driver
currently active in the CD-2 Rookie Of The Year battle. Jackson has
1022 adjusted points, each rookie gets to drop his worst two finishes
during the season, Segvich has 827 adjusted points, he missed two
events earlier in the season, so those two were the events dropped
from his adjusted points.

Of The Race Awards so far in 2006, collecting $1200 in bonuses from
CD-2 and $300 in Product Certificates from Cometic Gasket so far
