2nd Annual CRA Salem
Speedfest Has Been Canceled Because Of Weather
Salem, IN (October 21, 2005) –
Officials of Champion Racing Association have announced that the 2nd
Annual CRA Salem Speedfest scheduled for this weekend at Salem
Speedway has been canceled because of weather.
"With a forecast of unseasonably cold
temperatures on Sunday with wind chills in the 40’s and with a
forecast of possible rain we feel it is in everyone’s best interest to
cancel the event now rather than have the racers and fans travel long
distances and have to cancel on Sunday," explained Glenn Luckett, CRA
Super Series Director. "With gas prices as high as they are now, it’s
in everyone’s best interest to cancel the event early."
Because of the already rescheduled
Rockford Speedway event next weekend for the CRA Super Series and
Salem Speedway’s Halloween 200, the event will not be rescheduled.
The next CRA Super Series event will
be the Chicago International Trucks 250 the featured event of the
rescheduled National Short Track Championships next Saturday, October
29th at Rockford Speedway. More information is available
