CRA Event Lures Bean Back to Rockford
October 24, 2005 - Dexter Bean
and his BlackJack Racing Team will head to the Rockford Speedway on
Saturday, October 29 for what is billed as "One Great Day of Racing."
This is the
rain
date for the September 25th CRA Super Series event that
fell victim to the forces of nature.
Dexter qualified his Five Star
Telecom/Badger Environmental/Westby Sausage & Meats sponsored Monte
Carlo on time in the 20th position for the CRA Super Series
250 Lap Feature presented by Chicago International Truck.
Dexter has not been idle waiting for
the final day of the National Short Track Championships at Rockford.
He ran his #05 Five Star Telecom sponsored Pontiac in the final ARCA/REMAX
event at the Talladega Superspeedway on October 1 finishing in the 10th
position. Dexter also ran the NASCAR Auto Zone Elite Midwest Division
Oktoberfest 200 at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway finishing 7th
and raising him in the Auto Zone overall point standings to 6th.
The 6th place finish earned Dexter a spot in the Toyota
All-Star Challenge in Irwindale, CA.
Before the trip to Irwindale,
however, the business at hand is the CRA event at Rockford. Dexter
said, "We are going to Rockford to finish up front. We’ve got a good
car. While you have to run hard every lap at Rockford, hopefully
everyone will realize that patience is required in a 250-lap race. You
can end your day and that of many others pretty quickly. Rockford is a
demanding track. It’s fun, but you have to be on top of your game
every second. I look forward to it".
