Salem,
IN (March 1, 2003) -
The 2003 Sunoco Super Series season is fast
approaching and Ehret Motorsports is pleased to announce that Jack Smith
will challenge for the rookie championship. Smith has gained sponsorship
backing from XS Energy Drink, Terry's Detail Center, Republic Mortgage
Banc, and Leaf Racing Gear.
Smith, 33, is married
with two young boys. The Florida native is gunning for the Sunoco
Super Car Series Eastern Championship. “All of my time and effort will
be devoted to a championship run,” said Jack Smith.
“The idea of running for
the championship is great. We have the best engines and carburetors
provided to us by R & R Carb Service, excellent chassis's provided by
Predator Race Cars, and a team willing to put forth the effort to
win,” said team owner Dave Ehret.
Also in 2003, sponsors
for Ehret Motorsports will receive an added bonus with the addition of
Left Turn Only Promotions. This is a team of highly motivated
professionals led by Dave's son, Douglas Ehret, whose job will be to
promote the sponsors products at special promotional events.
“With such great sponsors
like Rapid Response Restoration, M & E Body Shop, R & R Carb Service,
Summit Racing, Amsoil, Power-Max Powder Coatings, and new sponsors
Terry's Detail Shop, Republic Mortgage Blnc, and XS Energy Drink, I
believed we had to give them more. This marketing team will be at
major car events, store openings and any event with a large number of
potential customers for our sponsors.”
The 2003 Sunoco
Super Series season begins on Saturday, April 19, at the quarter-mile oval of
Anderson Speedway.
