Ind. (January 12, 2003) - Port City Racecars has agreed to continue
their sponsorship of the Sunoco Super Series for the
upcoming 2003
season. This season will be the third straight year that Port City
Racecars has supported the Sunoco Super Series as a Product Contingency
Sponsor. Port City Racecars will award a $100 Product Certificate to the
highest finishing driver in a Port City Chassis at every Sunoco Super
Series event in 2003. Port City Racecars will also award the highest
finishing driver in a Port City Chassis in the final 2003 Sunoco Super
Series season points with a $400 Product Certificate.
Team
LA Motorsports with driver Joel Kauffman used Port City Chassis' to
capture the 2002 Sunoco Super Series Championship. In 2002 Kauffman
claimed a series record five fast qualifier awards, two wins, and
thirteen top ten finishes while completing over ninety six percent of
the total laps for the season. Team LA Motorsports will use a new 2003
Port City Chassis this season when making selected starts with the
Sunoco Super Series.
