Salem, IN (December 18, 2006) – Anderson Speedway, home of the famous Little 500 Sprint Car race, will be the sight of two CRA Super Series events in 2007. The famous high-banked quarter mile racetrack located in Anderson, Indiana has hosted more CRA Super Series events than any other track since the series first event ever event on Saturday, April 26, 1997. Anderson Speedway has had a total of 41 CRA Super Series events to date. Former two time series champion Brian Ross is the all-time series victory leader at Anderson Speedway with nine victories.

Anderson Speedway was good to CRA Super Series veteran racers in 2006. Veteran racer Jack Landis scored his second career CRA Super Series victory and first ever victory at Anderson Speedway by winning on Saturday, April 15^th, 2006. Landis, the events Fast Qualifier, passed Andy Ponstein on lap 64 to take the lead, and then held off Ponstein on several restarts to get the victory.

2005 CRA Super Series Champion Jeff Lane took the lead on the first lap after the halfway break of the Anderson 250 on July 14^th, 2006 and held off a tough challenge from 2005 CRA Super Series Rookie of the Year Tommy St. John to win the Anderson 250. St. John took the lead for a short while passing Lane in lap traffic, but Lane would come back and retake the lead and get the victory. 2006 CRA Super Series Champion Scott Hantz finished in third, just in front of the battle waged for fourth involving Kenny Tweedy and Tom Hernly Jr. Tweedy held off Hernly to finish in fourth with Hernly Jr. in fifth.

The first CRA Super Series event at Anderson Speedway in 2007 will be held on Saturday, April 14th. The track will host an open practice on the Friday evening prior to the event to allow extra track time for series drivers to prepare for the challenging ¼ mile high-banked track.

The CRA Super Series will be again be part of the annual Anderson 400 on Saturday, August 4^th with the CRA Super Series competing in a 250-lap event and the CRA Street Stocks competing in a 150-lap event.
