Salem, IN (December 9, 2005) – CRA Super Series officials and Angola Motor Speedway officials have announced that Angola Motor Speedway will host a CRA Super Series event again in 2006. Angola Motor Speedway has had a CRA Super Series event on its schedule every year since 1998, with the exception of the 2004 season when the track was closed because of extensive renovations. Angola Motor Speedway will have a 125 lap CRA Super Series event on Saturday night, July 22, 2006.

Angola Motor Speedway owner Dick Poe has been a strong supporter of the CRA Super Series far several seasons. Poe is the car owner of series driver Scott Hantz the 2000 CRA Super Series Champion and a feature winner in 2005 and 7^th place finisher in 2005 series points. Poe is also the owner of EMF Engineered Wiring Systems and Race-Tech Engineering, both have been a past sponsors of the CRA Super Series.

2005 CRA Super Series Drivers Points Champion Jeff Lane got his first win of the 2005 season by winning the Hargus Mullins Firecracker 125 at Angola Motor Speedway on July 2, 2005. Lane started the event in ninth, fell back to tenth in the early laps, but on lap 37 he began a charge through the field. Running on the low side of the track, where nobody else was able to run Lane was in fourth by the 46^th lap, took third on lap 57 after a couple of cautions due to different cars losing their brakes, he then moved to second on the 81^st lap. Lane then made up the half second he was behind the leader Bobby Parsley, passed Parsley to take the lead on the 85^th lap. Driving hard through traffic he had a 2.2 second lead by the 100^th lap and looked to be running away when a couple of late cautions cut into his lead and kept Parsley close, but Parsley was never able to mount a challenge as Lane took the win with Parsley holding on to second, with Eddie Hoffman in third.
