McGunegill Engine Performance To Sponsor CRA Super Series Event At Winchester Speedway As Part Of The World Stock Car Festival

Winchester, IN (August 24, 2005) - McGunegill Engine Performance has announced it will be the sponsor of the 100-lap CRA Super Series Presented By Spray Power event at Winchester Speedway on Monday, September 5th of Labor Day Weekend as part of the return of the World Stock Car Festival to the famous high banked ½ mile racetrack located in Winchester, Indiana.

McGunegill Engine Performance has been a leading producer of racing engines for several years based out of Muncie, Indiana. McGunegill Engine Performance currently manufactures the CRA Super Series approved MEP Equalizer Sealed Engine. This engine will produce approximately 590 Horsepower and 540 ft/lbs of torque in race configuration. The engine is a proven low cost winner with great reliability, and low maintenance.

CRA Super Series veteran Rick Turner has exclusively used the MEP Equalizer Sealed Engine racing with the series since the beginning of the 2004 season with great results. Turner got his first CRA Super Series victory at Anderson Speedway on August 13th using the MEP Equalizer Sealed Engine. Current CRA Super Series points leader Jeff Lane has gotten two wins with the MEP Equalizer Sealed Engine over the past two seasons, the latest coming at Angola Motor Speedway on July 2.

CRA Super Series rookie driver Billy Crane has used a MEP Equalizer Sealed Engine through out the 2005 season. Crane is currently 11th in series points and was the Cometic Gasket Rookie Of The Race at the series last event at Berlin Raceway this past Saturday night.

The World Stock Car Festival Presented By Maple-Tarr Chrysler Dodge Jeep at Winchester Speedway will kick off with an open practice on Saturday, September 3 from 1pm until 5pm. Pits will open on Sunday, September 4 at 9am. Practice will begin at 11:30am, qualifying at 3:15pm, there will be racing action in preliminary events starting at 6pm. Pit gates open on Monday, September 5 at 9am. There will be a warm-up session at 11am, any last chance races needed will start at 12noon, feature action for all six divisions will begin at 1pm and will be kicked off by the McGunegill Engine Performance 100 for the CRA Super Series Presented By Spray Power.
