MOORESVILLE, N.C. (January 16, 2012)
– Kyle Busch will enter his Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) No. 51 Super
Late Model Camry in the 2012 Champion Racing Association (CRA)
SpeedFest at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Ga. on Jan. 28
and 29. Busch, who captured back-to-back CRA SpeedFest victories in
2009 and 2010, returns to the event after a one-year absence.
"SpeedFest
is a really cool race weekend that draws in a lot of the top late
model drivers and I’m looking forward to returning to the event after
not participating last year." Busch said. "I enjoyed relaxing this
off-season, but after the Daytona test I’m ready to get back racing.
This event will be a good way to get some seat time and make some laps
before the start of the NASCAR season."
The KBM
Super Late Model team is looking to build upon a successful 2011
season which saw owner-driver Kyle Busch capture wins in three of the
biggest Super Late Model events of the year; the Rowdy 251 at Berlin
Raceway in Marne, Mich., the Slinger Nationals at Slinger Super
Speedway in Slinger, Wisc. and the Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains
Speedway in Oxford Maine.
Other
notable wins for the KBM Super Late Model team since its inception in
2007 include: Wisconsin All-Star 100 at the Milwaukee Mile (Kyle Busch
2008), Red Bud 300 at Anderson Speedway (Kyle Busch 2009), Winchester
400 at Winchester Speedway (Kyle Busch 2009), Snowball Derby at Five
Flags Speedway (Kyle Busch 2009), Rowdy 251 at Berlin Raceway (Kyle
