Salem, IN
(January 23, 2012) – CRA officials have announced that Howe Racing

Howie Lettow
was a respected and successful crew chief in the old ASA National Tour

the credentials of Lettow and his outstanding ability to mold and work
with some of the finest short track stock car drivers in the country,
especially his ability to work with rookie drivers. Drivers who worked
with Lettow and earned Rookie of the Year Titles in ASA included
NASCAR Superstar Jimmy Johnson, Ken Lund, Ted Musgrave, Scott Hansen,
Steve Holzhausen, Steve Carlson, Ricky Johnson and David Stremme.
"We are very
happy to have Howe Racing support this great program again with the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour," stated Chas Howe of Howe Racing. "Howie
represented the finest character that racing has ever had to offer. I
cannot think of anyone that could better symbolize what a young driver
should strive to be. He was the best at his trade while remaining
humble and genuine. Howie had a quiet confidence that let him listen
to everyone and think for himself."
The Howie
Lettow Rookie of the Year Award Presented by Howe Racing winner will
receive their choice of a bare Howe Late Model Chassis or a $1000 cash
bonus from Howe Racing. The rookie of the year will also receive a
jacket from Howe Racing. Howe Racing will award the second place
finisher in rookie points with a $100 Product Certificate and the
