Salem, IN (February 6, 2012) – Champion Racing Association has announced that EDCO Welding & Hydraulics Service will continue its sponsorship of the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier Award with the ARCA/CRA Super Series North point events for the upcoming 2012 racing season, which will be the 16^th season of competition for the ARCA/CRA Super Series, which began in 1997. The series first point’s event is scheduled for April 14^th at Anderson Speedway.

"We are very happy to continue our sponsorship with the ARCA/CRA Super Series again in 2012," remarked EDCO Welding & Hydraulics proprietors Eddie and Donna Van Meter. "We have been involved with CRA as sponsors and competitors for several seasons and look forward to continuing to have our company work with CRA throughout the 2012 season!"

Each event’s EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier will receive a $100 bonus from EDCO Welding, except for the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier of the Redbud 300 and Winchester 400, at those events the bonus from EDCO Welding will be $200. In order to receive the bonus, each events fast qualifier must have EDCO Welding stickers properly placed on both sides of their racecar prior to making their qualifying attempt, if not, the bonus will be carried over to the next series event, doubling that events fast qualifier award.

EDCO Welding & Hydraulic Service has certified welding services for specialty machinery, prototypes, components, tolling and fixtures. Their capabilities include MIG & TIG welding as well as the capacity for large precision weldments. EDCO specializes in light gauge sheet metal fabrication, especially carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet stock up to a quarter inch thick. They can also process thicker material, bar and tube stock and other material types and alloys as needed by the customer. Both Eddie Van Meter and15 year old son Billy will compete with CRA again during the 2012 season. Billy is registered to compete with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by GM Performance Parts as a rookie and will also compete in some CRA Street Stock events. Eddie will compete in selected ARCA/CRA Super Series events again in 2012. The Van Meter’s will also be the car owners for CRA Late Model Sportsman competitor Nick Moore in 2012, Moore was the Rookie of the Year with the CRA Street Stocks in 2010.
