Travis Braden to Compete with ARCA/CRA
Super Series in 2012
Braden Motorsports, with 17 year old driver
Travis Braden, has announced that they will compete full-time with the
ARCA/CRA Super Series in 2012, with hopes of capturing the series
Rookie of the Year honors and run for the series Championship. The
Wheeling, West Virginia teenager will once again team with Miamisburg,
Ohio car owner Gary Estes in the #01 Chevrolet.

The duo had a terrific 2011 season, Braden’s
first full season in a late model, which included winning the Columbus
Motor Speedway late model title and the NASCAR Whelen All American
Ohio Championship. Braden was also crowned the 2011 NASCAR Whelen All
American Series National Rookie of the Year. Braden grabbed 13 feature
wins at Columbus and Kil-Kare Speedway during the 2011 season. Braden
also competed in three JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by GM
Performance Parts events in 2011, getting a victory in the series
season ending event on the famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway on
Winchester 400 Weekend.
"After a great season of learning in the
Whelen All American Series, we are looking to start racing in a
touring series in 2012, the ARCA/CRA Super Series was the obvious path
to take," remarked Braden. "The series is filled with a lot of great
teams and racers and we want to surround ourselves with that type of
atmosphere in order to keep progressing. I had a blast racing my first
three JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour races in 2011 and I can't wait to start
racing regularly in the ARCA/CRA Super Series and select JEGS/CRA
All-Stars Tour races in 2012.
Braden added, "This offseason was an
important part of our season already. Senneker Performance and JRI
shocks have been working hard all winter on these racecars. The effort
is definitely there in all of this team, and I can't wait to get our
rookie season underway. It's going to be a lot of fun, we have a lot
to learn and figure out but that's what makes racing fun."
Braden kicked off his 2012 season by
competing in CRA SpeedFest 2012 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in
Cordele, Georgia. The event was a tar studded affair that was won by
NASCAR Superstar Kyle Busch. Also competing in the event were NASCAR
drivers David Ragan, Johnny Sauter and Erik Darnell along with many of
the top late model racers from all over the country including Chase
Elliott, Ross Kenseth, Bubba Pollard, Mike Garvey, Casey Smith and
Clay Rogers. Braden came from his 23rd starting position to
finish 12th, a great way to kick off his 2012 season!
Braden will be supported in 2012 by Senneker
Performance, A-1 Towing and Quaker Steak and Lube. More information on
