Vore’s
Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts in Action Sunday at Winchester
Speedway
Salem, IN
(September 15, 2011) – The Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts
will be in action this Sunday on the famed High Banks of Winchester
Speedway as part of the racing action with the traditional Rich Vogler
Classic featuring
the
USAC Sprint Cars. Sunday’s event will be the tenth event of the season
for the Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts, which has four events
left on its 2011 schedule.
Jeff
Shelmadine comes into the weekend’s events as the series point’s
leader by 14 points over Justin Brown. Schelmadine has two series wins
so far this season, one at Lucas Oil Raceway and the other at
Winchester Speedway. Brown has three wins on the season and has now
become the series all time wins leader. Rookie Kyle Crump is currently
in third place in points, he is 42 points behind Brown. Crump picked
up his first series win on Labor Day Weekend at Winchester Speedway.
Fellow rookie Rick James is in fourth place, he is 49 points behind
Crump. James also has one win this season at the series point’s season
opener at Baer Field Speedway. Cary Abrell is fifth series points,
only one point behind James. Other division winners so far this season
have been Chad Richardson and KC Spillers.
Pits will open
at 9am Sunday. Practice will begin at 10:30am. The afternoon’s race
program will begin at 2:00pm and will include heat races and a 20 lap
feature for the Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts. Also in
action will be the USAC Sprint cars with heats and the Rich Vogler
Classic and Modifieds with heat races and a 40 lap feature. More event
