Salem, IN (September 21, 2011) - With last Saturday’s Gresham Motorsports Park event in the books, the CRA Southern Title and National Title battles with the CRA Super Series are starting to become clearer. The Southern Title teams will be using their best four finishes in the scheduled five events and they must include the final event of the season in their four races. With two races to go, and dropping their worst finish, Bubba Pollard leads a tight battle for the CRA Southern Title. With 110 points available at each race, there are still 12 teams within 55 points of Pollard.

In an effort to recognize the teams that pursue racing outside of their home area, CRA previously announced the CRA National Championship. The winner of this title would be the driver that accumulates the most points using their best four finishes in the South Series and best four finishes in the North Series. With two races left in each series, the National Championship title has taken shape. For the purposes of assessing the current standings, the results below utilize each driver’s top two finishes from both the North and South Series. Chase Elliott holds a 49 point lead with five CRA Super Series races remaining to earn points in. Those remaining five races will be packed with stellar fields, and one bad outing brings at least five other drivers into contention to battle Elliott for the National Title.

The five CRA Super Series events remaining on the 2011 series schedule for teams to earn National Title points include three Northern point events including the September 24^th event at Berlin Raceway, the October 2^nd event at Lucas Oil Raceway and the October 16^th Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway. There are currently two Southern point events left, the All American 400 event on October 30^th at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville and the North/South Shootout on November 5^th at Caraway Speedway.
