Lambert Takes Time to Visit with Kids at Heartland Hall

With the Fall Brawl at Lucas Oil Raceway coming up, Mark Lambert is hard at work getting his Sullivan RV CRA Late Model Sportsman car ready to go. However, Mark did take time out of his busy schedule to pay a visit to a local childcare facility to educate the kids on what it takes to go racing. Cheryl Jarrett, who is a pre-school teacher at Heartland Hall Child Development Center in Carmel, Indiana and also does registration for the CRA on race weekends, invited Mark to bring his racecar up and show the kids what racing is all about. Mark showed the kids his racecar as well as what it takes to be safe while going around the track at high speeds. Mark and Cheryl answered questions about all the different pieces of safety equipment Mark wears and also questions about how the race car works. “The kids were absolutely in awe of the race car and thought that it was the coolest thing in the world to meet a real race car driver” said Cheryl. “I greatly appreciate the Lambert family taking the time to come up and spend the afternoon with the kids”.

The owners of Heartland Hall also held a contest for the children. Each child drew a picture and submitted for a voting. The winning picture was drawn by a young man named Jack. Jack received a CRA t-shirt and will have his winning artwork made into a decal that will be placed on Mark Lambert’s car for the race at Lucas Oil Raceway this weekend. “Seeing the looks in the kid’s eyes was priceless, you never know who may be a future CRA race car driver “said Cheryl. “ I really want to say thank you to Lambert Racing, Heartland Hall, and CRA for helping me put this all together for an afternoon that I am sure the kids won’t soon forget”.
