Welch & Wilson Motorsports Moving on After
Claiming CRA Super Series 2011 Championship
After two years competing in the CRA Super
Series division and achieving the 2011 Series Points Championship,
Welch & Wilson Motorsports is moving in a different direction for the
upcoming years. In order to effectively promote their product,
SealWrap Repair Tape, they feel their time and energy should be spent
on a National level of racing and sponsorship.

Welch & Wilson Motorsports appreciated the
opportunity to compete and be a part of CRA and have learned many
valuable lessons which will enable them to move forward in the racing
industry. The commitment it takes to own and operate a race team could
not have been accomplished without the guidance, dedication and hard
work of Crew Chief Scott Neal and Derrick Griffin, driver of the #4
SealWrap car. Derrick has earned the Rookie of the Year title and won
the CRA Super Series Championship for the 2011 season. Scott and
Derrick have done a fantastic job and Welch & Wilson Motorsports
wishes them well in their future opportunities.
Welch & Wilson Motorsports could not have
made this happen without the contributions of the following team
members: Mike Henderson, Jim Griffin, Derrick Layne, Brian Gerster,
Jonathon Martin, Gordon Guffy, Brandon Lines, Pamela Neal and
countless others over the course of the season. Many thanks to each of
you for your support and commitment to the team.
Scott Neal personally thanks the following
businesses: Paul at PPG, Cory at Advanced Racing Suspension, Robert at
Hamke Race Cars, Jeff at Hamner Engines, Curt at Speed Media, Jack at
Motion Motors and Clyde Moody the CRA Super Series Hoosier Tire
Dealer.
Jeff Welch and Curt Wilson would like to
thank R.J. Scott and Glenn Luckett of CRA for all their help and
support. They would also like to thank Scott Hantz, Johnny Vandoorn,
Jeff Lane, Rick Turner, Kenny Tweedy and many others who have made the
CRA Super Series the best short track series in the country.
Welch and Wilson Motorsports will be
liquidating their transporter, race cars and equipment over the next
couple of months. Please contact Scott Neal at 317-395-4774 for
further information.
