Media Giant’s Agricultural Industry Effort Helps
American Family Farms To Plan For Successful Transition From Parents
To Children
Ambia, IN - The "Farm Journal Legacy Project Supported by
Pioneer" logo will be on #50 Karl Weber's race car for the 2011 JEGS
All-Star Tour presented by
GM
Performance Parts beginning at this weekend's race at Illiana
Speedway. The Legacy Project is an industry-wide effort which
encourages succession-planning for family-owned farms across the US.
"I am honored to have the Legacy Project logo on my car", said 14
year old Karl Weber, "because it is important to America that
family-owned farms stay within the family, after all, I am a young
farmer myself and want to continue what my family has created."
Weber joins the JEGS All-Star Tour presented by GM Performance
Parts as a Rookie after winning more than 7 Karting Championships in
only 3 years of racing. The diminutive teen arrives at Illiana
Speedway directly from the farm field after helping The Weber Farm by
piloting a 15,000-pound John Deere Tractor as the family plants its
Pioneer Hi-Bred corn and soybean seeds for the growing season.
