Midlothian, IL (May 25, 2011) - Like the majority of the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by GM Performance Part Teams, Lorz
Motorsports has been sitting idle in between the first race, back on
April 23rd at Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio and the next
race on the 2011 schedule, which is set for Saturday, May 28th
at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio.
The CoughlinCars.com 100 Presented by JEGS.com became race #2 on
the JEGS/CRA/GM calendar after the race scheduled for May 14th
was rained out at Illiana Motor Speedway in Schererville, Indiana and
was postponed to Saturday, July 16th. So it’ll be just over
a month in between races for the
entire
Lorz Motorsports stable.
"We’re ready to race! The car has been ready since Illiana, but man
the weather has just not been good to us this season," Stated Lorz
Motorsports Car Owner, Mike Lorz. "We’re excited though, everyone is
ready to roll. We go to two of the smaller tracks on the schedule
(Columbus and Anderson) and we need to go to both, get a good finish
at each, and bring the car home in one piece so we can continue to
improve as team and I know we will." He added.
Crown Point, Indiana veteran, Wes Griffith Jr., will be the lone
Lorz car entered this weekend in the Buckeye States’ capital city. At
Toledo, he finished second to teammate, Jordan Sims in the Last Chance
race and then scored a 15th place finish after being
involved in an accident just before the ½ way marker.
For Columbus, Griffith Jr., returns behind the wheel of the #76
Gorilla Glue Ford and is chasing after the 2011 JEGS/CRA/GM title. He
has additional support from; A.S.I. Adhesive Systems, Edca Auto Body,
Marcotte’s Bar & Grill, Auto Meter, ISC Racers Tape, Behling Racing
Equipment, Wilwood Disk Brakes, Aurora Bearing Company, M.P.H.
