Newport, MI (May 4, 2011) - For the second time in two
tries, Champion Racing Association’s premiere series, the CRA Super
Series was rained out trying to get the 2011 season opener in the
record books. Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana was to be the
site of the already once rescheduled opener. Unfortunately rain and
saturated grounds forced officials to postpone the opener once again.
Hopefully, the
third
time is the charm for 18-year-old Rookie of the Year title contender,
Matt Hall as the Matt Hall Motorsports Team will head down to the ¼
(0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson,
Indiana for the rescheduled running of the Seal Wrap 125 Presented by
Great Deals Magazine on Friday and Saturday, May 6-7th.
This event was originally the 2011 opener back on April 16th,
but was rained out and rescheduled making the Winchester event the
season opener. Then with last weekends’ rain out at Winchester, the
Anderson event has returned as the 2011 season opener after all. The
Winchester race will be rescheduled at a later date to be announced.
"To say the least, we were disappointed with the rain out. Are we
ever going get a race in?" Asked the Newport, Michigan teenager, "We
did get some practice in on Saturday at Winchester, so that was good.
We’re looking forward to Anderson this week. We’ve never raced there
before so we are just hoping to learn as much as possible and bring
the car home in one piece." He added.
" We just need to stay clean and complete all the laps," Hall
continued, "We got some good info from the car this past Saturday in
Practice at Winchester, so we should be ready to go this weekend at
Anderson. I just want to get a race in sometime soon." He ended.
"Anderson is one of those places that you can get in trouble quick.
We need to complete all the laps we can and to do that Matt needs to
keep the fenders on it." Added Crew Chief, Brian Moore, "All this rain
has everyone chopping at the bit to race and we are just trying to
stay focused and get the best finishes we can, once we finally do get
to race." Moore added.
The Matt Hall Motorsports Team consists of: Crew Chief, Brian
Moore, as well as Kyle Breese, Levi Mansfield, Kevin Schlosser,
