Salem, IN (June 7, 2011) – The
CRA Circle City Classic Presented by Dave’s All-American Pizza and
Eatery and SealWrap Repair Tape is set to take place at Lucas Oil
Raceway Indianapolis, formally ORP, this weekend. Four CRA divisions
will be in action including the CRA Super Series in the SealWrap

EDCO Welding Street Stocks in the Definitive Auto Sales 40 and the
Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts in the Vore’s Welding & Steel
20 Presented by Definitive Auto Sales. CRA officials are expecting
over 100 racecars to participate in Sunday’s races!
Sunday’s SealWrap Repair Tape 100
Presented by McGunegill Engine Performance will be the 18th
event for the CRA Super Series at Lucas Oil Raceway. Former two time
Series Champion Brian Ross is the series leader in victories at that
track with four. Several former winners at Lucas Oil Raceway top the
great list of 39 entries to date for Sunday’s event including three
time winner and current series points’ leader Scott Hantz, along with
single event winners Jeff Lane, Kenny Tweedy and Ross Kenseth, son of
NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Matt Kenseth, who won the series last event
at Lucas Oil Raceway last September. Kenseth was also the winner of
the series last event on May 30th at Columbus Motor
Speedway.

Other top CRA drivers entered include
2009 and 2010 Champion John VanDoorn, also Brian Campbell, Terry
Fisher Jr., Tommy St. John, Tyler Roahrig, Jason Dietsch, Nick
Gullatta, Jay Niewiek, Colin Nickolai, Damon Ecoff, Jim Crabtree Jr.,
Joe Beaver, Jeep Pflum, Peter Cozzolino, Rick Turner and Boris
Jurkovic. Rookie of the year point’s leader Mason Mingus along with
fellow rookie competitors Derrick Griffin, David Carter, Justin Alsip
and Matt Hall are all entered.
There will be plenty of stiff outside
competition for Sunday’s event which has attracted some of the top
late model racers in the country including Ryan Blaney, son of NASCA
racer Dave Blaney, and fellow North Carolina racers Jeff Fultz, Jerick
Johnson and Jerrod Foley. 19 year old Kenzie Ruston will make her CRA
debut driving for Jeff Fultz Racing, as will 16 year old Landon Cling
driving for Brad Keselowski Racing. Georgia’s T.J. Reaid will be
competing with the Kyle Busch Motorsports Team while Donnie Wilson
will make the long haul from Oklahoma to race in Sunday’s event.
Midwest racers Griffin McGrath from Iowa and Jenny White from Kansas
will also be on hand to race this weekend.
The Sullivan RV Late Model Sportsman
Series will make their fourth appearance at
Lucas Oil Raceway on Sunday. Past series winners their include Gabe
Cerny, Mark Lambert and last year’s winner Derrick Griffin. Jason
Atkinson comes into Sunday’s event as the series point’s leader after
scoring wins in two of the series’ first three events so far this
season, including the series season opener at Plymouth Speedway and
the series last event at Anderson Speedway. Keith Sterkowitz is in
second, 14 points behind Atkinson. Sterkowitz got the other series
victory this season at Anderson Speedway. 2009 and 2010 series
Champion Charlie Hanna is currently third in series points. Mark
Lambert is fourth and rookie Nick Moore is in fifth place.
Sunday’s EDCO Welding
CRA
Street Stocks event at Lucas Oil Raceway will be the series third
event at that facility. Past series winners at Lucas Oil Raceway
include Beau Mitchell and Rick Erwin. Josh Poore comes into Sunday’s
event as the series point’s leader with one victory and two second
place finishes in the series three events so far this season. CRA
veteran racer Jeff Lane is in second, only five points behind Poore.
FT. Wayne veteran racer Steve Christman is third in series points.
Josh Myers is in fourth place with rookie J.J. Schafer in fifth place.
Chad Poorman won the series season open at Plymouth Speedway while
Brian Hopkins got the win in the series last event on May 22 at Baer
Field Speedway. Sunday’s event will also include many of the top
drivers with the Frank Kimmel Street Stock Nationals including Chuck
Barnes, Kyle Hadley, Frank Kimmel II and Beau Crawford.
Sunday’s event for the Vore’s Welding
& Steel CRA FWD Compacts will be their first
ever at Lucas Oil Raceway. Because of several rainouts, the series has
had only one point’s event so far during the 2011 season, and that was
an exciting one on May 22 at Baer Field Speedway as rookie Rick James
made a late race pass to take the lead and get the win over fellow
rookie Kyle Crump and Jeff Shelmadine. Crump is the series point’s
leader by one point over James. Shelmadine is in third place, only
five points out of first. Bob Smith is in fourth place with Justin
Brown in fifth place.
