Entry Forms
Released for the $15,000 to Win Rowdy’s Revenge 251 at Berlin Raceway
Salem, IN
(June 1, 2011) – CRA Super Series officials have released the
entry forms for the $15,000 to win Third Annual Rowdy’s Revenge 251
that will be contested at Berlin Raceway on Tuesday, June 21st.
NASCAR Star Kyle "Rowdy" Busch looks to defend his 2010 win in the
event, that was named after him when he failed to win the inaugural
race in 2009, which was won by Berlin veteran Brian Campbell, Busch
finished a disappointing fifth in that 2009 event.
Rowdy
got
his revenge in 2010 in what was one of the best races many fans and
racers had seen in a long time, with a standing ovation from the fans
at the halfway break and again at the end of the event, after Busch
had a race long battle with Chase Elliott, Ross Kenseth and Campbell.
Busch managed to hold off Elliott and Kenseth to get the win in one of
the biggest events in the 60 year history of Berlin Raceway. Boris
Jurkovic, the last chance race winner, fought his way from his 21st
starting position to finish fourth while Chris Anthony was the top
local competitor in fifth place.
Elliott and
Kenseth have already committed to racing in the event again in 2011
along with Ryan Blaney, son of NASCAR racer Dave Blaney, along with
several top CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour racers along
with the best racers from the new Berlin Raceway Boyne Machine Premier
Super Late Models. The event is a CRA Super Series National Points
event that will count towards crowning the first ever CRA National
Super Late Model Champion.
As it was in
2010, the order of entries received at the CRA office will be the
qualifying order for the event from last to first, the first
competitor to enter will be the last qualifier, while the last
competitor to enter will be the first qualifier.
