Matt Hall: Looking forward to CRA Super Series invasion of Plymouth Speedway

Newport, MI (July 22, 2011) - As has been the case throughout 18-year-old Matt Hall's Rookie season in the CRA Super Series, the majority of the tracks on the 2011 schedule are facilities that the Newport, Michigan driver usually has never seen before pulling his rig into the pit area on race day. In the case of the next race on the schedule, the Plymouth 125 at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Indiana, that's not so.

This Sunday, July 24th, the Matt Hall Motorsports Team will make the trip to the 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval having some experience on the Northern Indiana speed plant. Hall has seen time there in the old Super Pro Series (Now JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by GM Performance Parts) and hopes that experience will aid him in his efforts to capture the series' 2011 Rookie of the Year title.

"We're trying some new things for this weekend at Plymouth. My crew is not giving up and they are still putting in the hours even while we're in this slump," Remarked Hall. "I can't say enough about these guys. Plymouth is one of the tracks I have had many laps around and am familiar with. We have always run very well there and the whole team is very excited for the weekend."

In Hall's last race at M-40 Speedway in Jones, Michigan back on July 10th, he finished 14th in the race won by Steve Dorer and completed all 125 laps of the Independence Day 125. "M-40 was challenging and track position was very important. We missed it a little in qualifying and that started us in the back which did not help matters. Took a big try at it for the race and the car went super tight." He explained.

With that finish, his third top 15 finish of the season in six starts, Hall did slip outside of the overall top 10 in the points standings and sits just four points back of Damon Ecoff who sits 10th. Hall is also third in the 2011 Rookie of the Year title chase behind leaders; Derrick Griffin and Mason Mingus.

"We're looking forward to going to Plymouth this weekend. Plymouth has always treated us well and we like the track there," Added Matt Hall Motorsports Car Owner and Father, Kenny Hall. "We have been working hard on the car and getting it to where Matt wants it but it's been a struggle this season. We have had some problems all season and were hoping to break out of our shell. The crew has been working hard to change some stuff around and we hope we can get things going forward." He ended.
