Special from Jack Smith Motorsports
Jack Smith Returns to JEGS/CRA/GM Racing
This Weekend at the Legendary Winchester Speedway
Medina, OH (August 17, 2011) - After
making three appearances in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
driving the #63 Seal Wrap / MB Motorsports Ford F-150, Jack Smith will
get back behind the wheel of his familiar #28 UB Machine Ford Fusion
and race at one of his favorite race tracks, the legendary
Winchester
Speedway this Saturday, August 20th.
The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by GM
Performance Parts will make their first ever appearance at the fast ˝
(0.500) mile high-banked paved oval in race #7 of their inaugural
season: The Winchester 100 Presented by JEGS.com. Smith has missed the
last two JEGS/CRA/GM shows at Illiana Motor Speedway (July 16th)
and Rockford Speedway (July 30th) due to his NASCAR
commitments, but is eager to get back to racing in the Template Bodied
/ Crate Motor series.
"I absolutely love Winchester! There’s not a
better place on the schedule for me to win my first one of these JEGS
races. I would love nothing more than to add a Winchester victory to
my resume. It would be the biggest win of my career without a doubt,"
The Media, Ohio veteran stated. "You really have to be up on the wheel
from lap one all the way to the end of the race around that place!"
"I really do need to thank McGunegill Engine
Performance for everything they’ve done for this race team and of
course, Greg Urbine and UB Machine." He continued. "I appreciate Greg
especially for letting me go race with the NASCAR Camping World Truck
Series these last few weeks. I hated to miss those two JEGS shows, but
we’ll see what we can do these last few JEGS shows I’ll be able to
race in and hopefully we can put the UB Machine Ford into victory lane
this weekend." He ended.
Despite missing the last two JEGS/CRA/GM
races, Smith still sits 13th in the season long points
chase and in four starts, he has two top five finishes, both of those
are fifth place showings at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio
back on May 28th and his most recent race in the
JEGS/CRA/GM series, back on July 9th at Anderson Speedway
in Anderson, Indiana.
The next start for Smith in the NASCAR
Camping World Trucks Series is set for Friday, September 2nd
at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia for the Atlanta 200,
which will be shown LIVE on SPEED starting at 8:00p.m. Tentative plans
call for Smith to make the all night drive up to Ovid, Michigan and
meet his UM Machine Race Team at the Owosso 100 Presented by JEGS.com
on Saturday, September 3rd, which is the next scheduled
JEGS/CRA/GM race after this weekends’ show at Winchester.
