Continues to Lead Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Standings
Salem, IN
(August 17, 2011) – Jay Niewiek, the 2010 winner of the Cometic
Gasket Hardcharger Season Award, continues to lead the 2011 Cometic
Gasket Hardcharger standings after eight CRA Super Series events so
far this season. Niewiek has gained 71 positions so far this season,
which is an average of almost nine positions per race. Niewiek gained
seven positions in the Redbud 300, the series last event on August 1st
at Anderson Speedway.

CRA Super
Series veteran Kenny Tweedy is in second place with 62 gained
positions to date, including gaining 13 positions in the Redbud 300.
Rookie of the year candidate Mason Mingus is in third place with 37
gained positions to date, he lost two positions in the Redbud 300.
Jason Dietsch is in fourth place with 31 gained positions while Terry
Fisher Jr. is in fifth place with 19 gained positions to date.
Cometic

bonus to the season leader in the Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Standings
at the 2011 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet. A driver has
to be in the top 15 in series points to be eligible for this award.
