Wire Five State Challenge Continues at Nashville Saturday
Salem, IN (September 28, 2010)
– The fourth event with the Scott Performance Wire Five State
Challenge for the CRA Super Series will take place this Saturday with
the CRA Super Series 200 lap event with the All American 400 at
Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. The Scott Performance Wire Five State
Challenge is an award program based upon five selected CRA Super
Series point’s events in five states the series will have point’s
events in 2010.
Scott Hantz comes into Saturday as
the point’s leader in the Scott Performance
Wire
Five State Challenge after three events, which started on May 8th
at Berlin Raceway, located in Marne, Michigan. The second event was on
July 11th at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Indiana. The
third event was on August 28th at Columbus Motor Speedway,
in Columbus, Ohio. Hantz has a six point lead over second place John
VanDoorn, but Hantz is not entered for this weekends event at
Nashville, he will be racing in the Glass City 200 Outlaw Super Late
Model event at Toledo Speedway this weekend.
VanDoorn has a slim four point lead
over third place Brian Campbell who got wins in the Berlin and
Columbus events, but was involved in a crash at Plymouth that ended
his day early. Tommy St. John is in fourth place, he is 22 points
behind Campbell. Terry Fisher Jr. is in fifth place, he is eight
points behind St. John.
Hantz was the winner of last season’s
Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge in a close battle with
Rick Turner that wasn’t decided until the last lap in the final event
of the Challenge. The fifth and final event in the 2010 Scott
Performance Wire Five State Challenge will be the November 6th
North/South Shootout at Concord Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.
The Scott Performance Wire Five State
Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the
five events a $400 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires, the
second place driver will receive a $500 bonus and a set of Scott
Performance Wires and the third place driver will receive a $700
bonus. Scott Performance Wire will also award the 2010 CRA Super
Series Champion and CRA Southern Six-Pack Tour Champion with a set of
