Salem, IN (October 27, 2010) –
Champion Racing Association has announced that the 2010 Champion
Racing Association Awards Banquet will be held once again at Indiana
Downs in Shelbyville, Indiana located at 4200 N. Michigan Road,
just
off exit 109 of I-74. The 2010 Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday
evening, January 8, 2011 at the main Banquet Room at Indiana Downs.
The 2010 Champion Racing Association Champions will be honored in the
CRA Super Series, CRA Southern Six-Pack Tour, Howe CRA Late Model
Sportsman Series, CRA Street Stocks and Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD
Compacts, along with all the top fifteen teams in 2010 CRA Super
Series Owners Points, the top ten finishers in Owner Points in the
Howe CRA Late Model Sportsman Series, CRA Street Stocks and Vore’s
Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts and the top five finishers in Owner
Points with the CRA Southern Six-Pack Tour.
The CRA Super Series 2010 Perfect
Circle Racecars Rookie of the Year Award winner with
the CRA Super Series will be honored and will lead a group of selected
CRA Super Series drivers and teams that will be awarded individual
special awards at the Awards Banquet including the A.T. Performance
/Acro-Tech Sportsman of the Year Award, the Darrell Teal Dedication
Award and the Cometic Gasket Hard Luck Award. There will also be the
Rookie of the Year Awards, Harris Products Sportsman of the Year
Awards and Dedication Awards for the Howe CRA Late Model Sportsman,
the CRA Street Stocks and the Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts.
There will be
a reception to start the evening’s events at 5pm, followed by a buffet
dinner at 6pm, with the awards ceremony immediately following at
approximately 7pm. There will be several special announcements made
concerning the 2011-racing season, and there will be several product
items that will be given away by random draw of any team present for
each division.
Some of the products that will be
given away by random draw include a complete body from Five Star
Racecar Bodies and a $500 Product Certificate from ARP Stock Car
Bodies for the Super Series, Southern Six-Pack Tour and Late Model
Sportsman, a $250 Product Certificate from Five Star Racecar Bodies
and a $100 Product Certificate from ARP Stock Car Bodies for the
Street Stocks. A set of Schoenfeld Headers for each of the top four
CRA divisions. A set of wheels
from Bassett Racing Wheels and a set of wheels from Aero Racing Wheels
for the Super Series, Late Model Sportsman and Street Stocks. A $1000
and a $500 Product Certificate from McGunegill Engine Performance for
the Late Model Sportsman and Street Stocks and a racing seat from
Butlerbuilt Safety Systems for the Super Series and Late Model
Sportsman.
RSVP’s for the banquet will need to
be sent in to the CRA office by December 27th, teams and
guest can download a banquet invitation off the CRA web site. The host
hotel for the awards banquet will be the Comfort Inn, which will have
