CRA Street Stocks
head to Anderson Speedway Saturday
Salem, IN (May 5, 2010) – The
CRA Street Stocks head to Anderson Speedway this Saturday for the
first of four series events that the World’s Fastest High-Banked
Quarter Mile Oval will host during the 2010 season. The event will
showcase the best of the CRA against the best Anderson Speedway Street
Stock drivers in what is always an action packed event.

Veteran driver and former Anderson
Street Stock Champion Rich Boyer has the most series victories at
Anderson with two, there are eight drivers with one apiece including
last years winners Scott Neal, Rick Erwin and Ronnie Rose. The other
series winners at Anderson include Katie Jackson, Bret Miles Jr. Beau
Mitchell, Calvin Parham and Jason Thompson.
Neal comes into Saturday’s event as
the series points leader after his second place finish in the series
season opener at Plymouth Speedway were Illinois driver Josh Nelms got
the victory. A total of 31 cars entered that event. Neal battled from
his ninth place starting position to finish second. Bret Miles Jr.
finished in third. Rookie Eddie Wolf was fourth and Chad Poorman was
fifth.
The Anderson Speedway Street Stocks
have had three events so far this season with Josh Myers, Derrick
Layne and Rich Boyer claiming victories in those events. Boyer has the
points lead by only three over Rob Allman. Myers is third in points,
Layne is fourth and Randy Hoppes is in fifth place.
Pit gates open on Saturday at 3pm.
Practice will begin at 5pm with qualifying beginning at 6:30pm. The
race program will begin at 8pm and will include 10 lap heat races and
a 75 lap feature for the CRA Street Stocks. Track and ticket
