John Long Leads
Perfect Circle Racecars Rookie of the Year Standings
Salem, IN (July 23, 2010) –
Niles, Michigan driver John Long is the leader of the Perfect Circle
Racecars Rookie of the Year Standings after five CRA Super Series
points events to date heading into this Monday’s Welch & Wilson
Motorsports Redbud 300 event at Anderson Speedway. The highest
finishing registered rookie in the Perfect Circle Racecars Rookie of
the Year Standings, which will be the driver who accumulates the most
points in their best 10 series point races of the 12 scheduled for the
2010 season, will receive the Perfect Circle Racecars Rookie of the
Year Award at the 2010 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet.

Long’s adjusted rookie point total to
date is 234 points. Nick Gullatta is currently in second place with
212 points. Colin Nickolai is third with 206 points. Tony Dager is
fourth with 198 points and Jay Niewiek is in fifth place with 194
points, making the difference only 40 points between first and fifth
place with seven point events left on the series 2010 schedule.
Long has been the Perfect Circle
Racecars Rookie of the Race Award winner at three series events to
date at Berlin Raceway, Winchester Speedway and Angola Motor Speedway,
using his new Perfect Circle Racecar. Dager was the award winner at
the series season opener at Anderson Speedway. Gullatta was the most
recent award winner at the series last event at Plymouth Speedway on
July 11th.
Long is currently ninth in series
Championship points to date. Nickolai is in tenth, 12 points behind
Long. Gullatta is 11th, he is only 12 points behind
Nickolai. Dager is 20th in points followed by Niewiek in 21st
place, each of those drivers have missed two series points events to
date.
