Anderson Speedway
to Host Nine CRA Sanctioned Events in 2010
Salem, IN (January 2, 2010) -
Anderson Speedway will celebrates its 63rd season as the World’s
Fastest Quarter-Mile Oval with a total of nine events sanctioned
by
Champion Racing Association on their recently announced 2010 schedule.
The famous high-banked quarter mile racetrack located in Anderson,
Indiana was the sight of the first ever Champion Racing Association
sanctioned event when the CRA Super Series held it’s inaugural event
on Saturday, April 26, 1997. Since them the track has become a regular
stop for every CRA sanctioned series. Anderson Speedway has hosted a
total of 46 CRA Super Series events to date. Former two time series
champion Brian Ross is the all-time series victory leader at Anderson
Speedway with nine wins.
In 2010 the CRA Super Series will
once again make two stops at Anderson beginning with the traditional
early season 125 lap event on Saturday, April 17th. The
Redbud 300 returns for a second consecutive year on Monday, July 26
for CRA Super Series with last years winner, NASCAR star Kyle Busch,
looking to defend his title in that event and has promised to bring
some friends to compete in this seasons event!
The CRA Late Model Sportsman Series
will have three events at Anderson Speedway in 2010 beginning with an
event on May 15th, followed by an event on June 26th
and the final event on July 31st. The CRA Street Stocks
will have a total of four events at Anderson in 2010 beginning with a
regular 75 lap event on May 8th, the much heralded CRA
Street Stock 300 returns on June 19th and regular 75 lap
events on August 14th and September 18th.
