Salem, IN (December 14, 2010) – Champion Racing Association has announced that EDCO Welding & Hydraulics Service will expand its support of CRA in 2011 to include being the first ever Title Sponsor for the CRA Street Stocks. 2011 will be the seventh season of competition for the CRA Street Stocks with Champion Racing Association. The EDCO Welding CRA Street Stocks will have 10 to 12 events in 2011, at tracks such as Winchester Speedway, Anderson Speedway and Plymouth Speedway. The complete 2011 schedule for the Street Stocks will be released in the near future.

"We are very excited to have EDCO Welding as the Title Sponsor of our CRA Street Stocks for the 2011 season," remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner of CRA. CRA officials have also announced that EDCO Welding will continue to be the sponsor of the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier Award with the CRA Super Series North events for the upcoming 2011 racing season, which will be the 15^th season of competition for the CRA Super Series, which began in 1997.

Each event’s EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier will receive a $100 bonus from EDCO Welding, except for the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier of the Redbud 300 and Winchester 400, at those events the bonus from EDCO Welding will be $200. In order to receive the bonus, each events fast qualifier must have EDCO Welding stickers properly placed on both sides of their racecar prior to making their qualifying attempt, if not, the bonus will be carried over to the next series event, doubling that events fast qualifier award.

EDCO Welding & Hydraulic Service has certified welding services for specialty machinery, prototypes, components, tolling and fixtures. Their capabilities include MIG & TIG welding as well as the capacity for large precision weldments. EDCO specializes in light gauge sheet metal fabrication, especially carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet stock up to a quarter inch thick. Both Eddie Van Meter and14 year old son Billy will compete with CRA again during the 2011 season. Billy finished 10^th in CRA Street Stocks points in 2010, he will compete with the CRA Street Stocks again in 2011 along with selected starts in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series, with the possibility of some CRA Super Series starts late in the season. Eddie will compete in selected CRA Super Series events again in 2011. The Van Meter’s will also be the car owners for CRA Street Stock competitor Nick Moore in 2011, Moore was the Rookie of the Year with the Street Stocks in 2010 with a fourth place finish in series Drivers Points. Moore may also make some CRA Super Series starts later in the 2011 season.
