Team Construction Clean Sweep Award up to $500 for Columbus Saturday

Salem, IN (August 25, 2010) – The Team Construction Clean Sweep Award has grown to $500 for this Saturday’s CRA Super Series 125 lap event at Columbus Motor Speedway. Ross Kenseth was the last to claim the award at the Manning Service 100 at Winchester Speedway on May 16th, the third event of the season. Brian Campbell claimed the first award of the 2010 season in the series second at Berlin Raceway on May 8th.

The Team Construction Clean Sweep Award consist of a $100 cash bonus if an event’s EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier can also win that same event. If the fast qualifier fails to win, the $100 cash bonus is then rolled over to the next event until an events fast qualifier wins that same event. After a fast qualifier wins, the award starts over again at $100.

In the series last event at Toledo Speedway on August 13th, Joey Miller was the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier, Miller was the early leader then fell back to third before making a late pass to get second, but could not catch winner John VanDoorn. Kyle Busch, VanDoorn and Steve Dorer have also had opportunities to cash in on the award at Anderson, Plymouth and Angola respectively, but all three had bad luck resulting in bad finishes.
