The Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge Continues at Columbus Saturday

Salem, IN (August 26, 2010) – The third event with the Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge for the CRA Super Series will take place this Saturday with the JVM Enterprises/Nelson Kohman 125 at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio. The Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge is an award program based upon five selected CRA Super Series point’s events in five states the series will have point’s events in 2010.

Eddie Hoffman comes into Saturday’s event as the leader in the Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge points after two events. Hoffman got the win in the Challenge’s last event on July 11 at Plymouth Speedway, which moved him into the points lead, but Hoffman is not entered for this Saturday’s event. 2009 series Champion and current series points leader John VanDoorn is second in Challenge points, he is one point ahead of Scott Hantz in third. Caleb Bisacky is in fourth, but he is also not entered for Saturday’s event.

Brian Campbell is in fifth place in Challenge points, 12 points behind Hantz. Campbell was the Challenge point’s leader after the Challenge’s first event at Berlin Raceway, located in Marne, Michigan. Campbell got the victory in that event and was the events EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier, collecting a maximum of 110 points for the event. Campbell had a 25th place finish at Plymouth after an accident ended his day early

Hantz was the winner of last season’s Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge in a close battle with Rick Turner that wasn’t decided until the last lap in the final event of the Challenge. The fourth event of the Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge will be the October 2nd All American 400 event at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee. The final event will be the November 6th North/South Shootout at Concord Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.

The Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the five events a $400 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires, the second place driver will receive a $500 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires and the third place driver will receive a $700 bonus. Scott Performance Wire will also award the 2010 CRA Super Series Champion and CRA Southern Six-Pack Tour Champion with a set of Scott Performance Wires
