CRA Chief Technical Inspector Eddie Chew
is well known
to
many racers for being thorough and fair while keeping the rules, and
making sure everyone is playing by the rules. He is also well known
for his goatee. Now everyone has a chance to have a say in the rules
for him.
In honor of his father, Gibo Chew, who passed away
10 years ago on Labor Day weekend Eddie will allow one person to
decide if he should cut his goatee or keep it, through a raffle to
raise money for the American Diabetes Association. The holder of the
winning raffle ticket will have a chance to cut the goatee on Monday
at the annual Labor Day event at Winchester on the track in front of
everyone or they can decide to let him keep growing it. The winner
will also receive a free CRA t-shirt and CRA hat.
Tickets are selling one for a $1, six tickets for $5
or an arms span for $10. Must be present to win, but tickets will
continue to be drawn until there is a winner. Tickets will be
available starting Friday, August 13 at Toledo Speedway at the Klotz
Synthetic Lubricants 100 presented by Spray Power.
