Salem, IN (August 10, 2010) – The CRA Street Stocks head to Anderson Speedway this Saturday for the third of four series events that the World’s Fastest High-Banked Quarter Mile Oval will host during the 2010 season. The event will showcase the best of the CRA against the best Anderson Speedway Street Stock drivers in what is always an action packed event.

Veteran driver and former Anderson Street Stock Champion Rich Boyer has the most series victories at Anderson with three including the May 8^th series event at Anderson. There are nine drivers with one a piece including Josh Poore who won the EDCO Welding & Hydraulics 300 at Anderson on June 19^th. Other series winners at Anderson include Scott Neal, Rick Erwin, Ronnie Rose, Katie Jackson, Bret Miles Jr. Beau Mitchell, Calvin Parham and Jason Thompson.

Rich Boyer comes into Saturday night’s event leading the series Owner points by 18 over Brian Hopkins. Joe Beaver substituted for Boyer in one race at Mt. Lawn Speedway earlier this season. The #73 car owned by Danny Acrey is third in Owner points with drivers Jeff Lane and Jason Atkinson, they are only two points behind Hopkins. Steve Christman is fourth in points for veteran car owner Steve Davis, only 13 points behind Acrey. Brooks, Kentucky driver Rick Erwin is currently fifth in series points, only two points behind Christman. The top five teams are separated by only 45 points with four events left in the 2010 season.

Rob Allman holds a slight 28 point lead over Boyer in the Anderson Speedway Street Stock points to date. Derrick Layne is third with Randy Hoppes in fourth and Todd Marsh in fifth place.

Pit gates open on Saturday for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Night at the Races at 3pm. Practice will begin at 5pm with qualifying beginning at 6:30pm. The race program will begin at 8pm and will include the 75 lap feature for the CRA Street Stocks. Also competing Saturday night will be Anderson’s WMDH Thundercars and Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s.
