Driver Nick Gullatta of
Green, OH and car owners Stan and Judi Rosen have decided to move
their racing operation to the Champion Racing Association (CRA) Super
Series late models for 2010. The team had been together competing in
the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series for the past four years,
finishing 2nd in points 3 times and
capturing
8 wins along with a number of track records and pole positions.
Nick Gullatta is a
Mechanical Engineer and High Performance test driver for the Goodyear
Tire and Rubber company and an experienced and competitive driver,
having raced everything from Go-Karts to Koni Challenge Mustangs. He
brings a wealth of knowledge on set-ups and tire information to the
Rosen Racing operation. Nick is a veteran of the US Navy and a
graduate of Akron University.
The Rosens bring a wealth
of auto racing experience to the operation. They owned an AA/Fuel
Altered Drag roadster and also competed in NHRA Funny Cars, and Top
Fuel winning the Division 3 championship. Stan and Judi also competed
in the SCCA Performance
Rally Division before moving to
the ARCA LWS Truck series. Stan’s background as an Engineer and Drive
Line specialist for the Ford Motor company, combined with Judi’s
wealth of knowledge in running a race team make the R & D
Racing team a formidable
combination. Stan and Judi reside in Milford Michigan.
For 2010
R & D Racing has a 2010 Port City
Impala SS powered by a McGunegill
Engine Performance Sealed Engine.
Gullatta has had experience with
Late Models running at the Lorain (OH) County Speedway, Midvale, and
other tracks around Ohio. The team is prepared to start testing before
entering the first race of the season at Anderson, IN and is looking
forward to their first taste of CRA Super Series competition.
