Scott Hantz to Compete in ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup Event Saturday at Toledo

Angola, IN – After several weeks of trying to make a decision, Richard Poe Motorsports and driver Scott Hantz have decided to compete in the ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup event at Toledo Speedway this Saturday, April 17th. The team had entered that event and the CRA Super Series opener at Anderson Speedway, which is also this Saturday. Fans had been speculating for weeks at to which race Hantz would actually run.

“I have accomplished a lot with the CRA Super Series over the past 11 seasons,” remarked Hantz, the three time CRA Super Series Champion. “I just decided I want to try and win all the ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup races at Toledo this season, we won four out of five last year, that track has just been really good to me. I really want to win the Glass City event at the end of the season at Toledo, so racing all the races prior to that at Toledo will help me with that goal. I was actually hoping weather would cancel one of the two this weekend, I really wanted to do both, but I had to make a choice.”

Hantz will still be a mainstay with the CRA Super Series during the 2010 season, he is planning to compete in the majority of the races on the 2010 schedule.

“We will be at Winchester on May 2nd, we won’t be in the points hunt, but will still be looking to win the most races this year,” added Hantz. “I look forward to racing with CRA this year, there are several talented drivers coming to run full time including Brian Campbell, Tommy St. John and Jack Smith, plus a great group of rookies. I think 2010 will be a great season for the series!”
