Roahrig Leads K & N
Filters Rookie of the Year Standings Heading to Winchester
Salem, IN (October 13, 2009) –
After 11 point events so far this season Tyler Roahrig is still the
leader in the CRA Super Series K & N Filters Rookie of the Year
standings heading into Sunday’s final points race of the season, the
38th Annual Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway. Roahrig
has 714 rookie points to date, in the rookie points each rookie gets
to drop
their
worst two finishes of the season in the final points tally to
determine the 2009 K & N Filters Rookie of the Year. Roahrig has a 58
point lead over second place Nick Lay, so Roahrig really just needs to
start Sunday’s event to claim the 2009 K & N Filters Rookie of the
Year Award. Brandon Fagin is currently third in rookie points,
followed by Damon Ecoff, Zach Hulvey and Justin Matson.
Roahrig has each been the K & N
Filters Rookie of the Race Award winner in six series events to date
collecting the $100 cash bonus and a $25 Product Certificate from K &
N Filters and a $50 Product Certificate from VDL Fuel Systems each
time. Lay has won the award three times while Matson and Fagin each
won the award one time this season.
The highest finishing registered
rookie in the K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year Standings will receive
the K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year Award at the 2009 Champion Racing
Association Awards Banquet which will include a $1000 cash bonus, a
jacket and a $100 Product Certificate from K & N Filters. The second
place finisher in the K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year standings will
receive a $300 Cash Bonus from Cometic Gasket.
The K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year
