Monroe Motor
Speedway CRA Super Series South Event Rescheduled for July 18
Salem, IN (May 27, 2009) – CRA
Super Series South officials have announced that Monroe Motor Speedway
has rescheduled the Saturday, June 6th Sportsman’s Paradise
125 CRA Super Series South event, it will now take place on Saturday,
July 18th.
"With the excessive amount of
rainouts the track has already had this season and with the Blizzard
Series and Gulf Coast Championships events rescheduled for this
weekend at Five Flags
Speedway
and at Mobile International Speedway, the race track and series felt
like the racers, fans and track would be better served by moving the
race to July 18th," remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner
of Champion Racing Association "That will place the event on an off
NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend and it will be three weeks after and prior
to the next Blizzard Series and Gulf Coast Championships events,
giving the fans a chance to see an even more impressive list of
racers. With all the rain that the track has endured, it will give the
local late models a chance to get ready to battle the traveling stars
for this show."
That event will still be the second
event of the season for the CRA Super Series South, which started it’s
inaugural 2009 season on April 4th at the Watermelon
Capital Speedway were Bubba Pollard picked up the win. All event
entries that have already been received for the Sportsman’s Paradise
125 will now be transferred to the July 18th event. Contact
the CRA office at 812-883-0455 with any questions. Additional
