Wanted FWD Compacts to
Race for Possible $1000 to Win at Winchester Speedway
Salem, IN (May 14, 2009) –
Champion Racing Association officials are wanting to pay $1000 to win
for the Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts special 50 lap feature
on Saturday, June 6th on the High Banks of Winchester
Speedway. The event is part of a big two-day show featuring the
return
of the USARacing Pro Cup Series stock cars, which formally raced at
Winchester Speedway as the Hooters Pro Cup Series, on Friday, June 5th
and Saturday, June 6th.
The Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD
Compacts will have a standard purse 20 lap, $150 to win, feature event
on Friday night, June 5th. They will have their biggest
race of the season on Saturday night June 6th, a 50-lap
event after the Lucas Oil 200 for the USARacing Pro Cup Series.
Champion Racing Association officials have agreed to pay the winner
$1000 for that event if at least 40 cars start the 50-lap feature.
They will pay $500 to win if at least 25 cars start, if less than 25
start, the feature will pay $250 to win.
‘The CRA FWD Compacts have a great
group of racers who are very loyal to that
division
of CRA," remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner with CRA. "They have
done a great job of building this division over the last two seasons.
We want this event to help continue that growth, but we need the
support of a lot of racers to make it happen and pay out the big bucks
to the winner!"
Both events on that weekend will be
point’s events counting towards the 2009 season Championship. The
Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts will begin their 2009 season
this Sunday at Winchester Speedway as part of the King of the Wing
Sprint Car Challenge event. Their second event of the season will be
at Baer Field Speedway on Monday, May 25th as part of the
CRA Memorial Day 200 event.
