Salem, IN (March 31, 2009) – Champion Racing Association Officials have announced that the CRA Super Series South has gained additional sponsor support for its inaugural 2009 season, which begins this Saturday in the Watermelon 125 at Watermelon Capital Speedway located in Cordele, Georgia. The companies were already sponsors of the CRA Super Series, they will step up their support to include the CRA Super Series South racers for the 2009 season.

Hoosier Racing Tire, the Official Racing Tire of the CRA Super Series South will award the driver finishing in the top five of each series event who improved the most positions with a $100 cash bonus and the driver who improved the most positions of the finishers from six through tenth at each series event with a $100 cash bonus.

VDL Fuel Systems will sponsor the VDL Fuel Systems Hardcharger Award at each CRA Super Series South event. The driver advancing the most positions from his scheduled starting position at each event will receive a $100 Product Certificate from VDL Fuel Systems. VDL will also sponsor the VDL Fuel Systems Hardcharger of the Year Award, which will go to the driver advancing the most positions through out the 2009 CRA Super Series South season. The award will be a VDL Fuel Systems Carburetor.

Swift Springs will also support the CRA Super Series South in 2009. Swift Springs will award a spring to the seventh place finisher at each series event. Swift Springs will award a set of four springs to the seventh place finisher in final 2009 series points.

Another long time CRA supporter, PitBoxes.com, will support the CRA Super Series South by awarding each events fourth place finisher with a $100 Product Certificate. PitBoxes.com will award the fourth place finisher in final 2009 series points with a $400 Product Certificate.

Joes Racing Products will also support the CRA Super Series South in 2009. Joes Racing Products will award the 11^th place finisher at each series event with a $50 Product Certificate. Joes Racing Products will award the 11^th place finisher in final series points and the 2009 series Champion with $100 Product Certificates.

The Watermelon Twin 125’s event on Saturday, April 4^th at Watermelon Capital Speedway will feature both the CRA Super Series South super late models and the G.A.S Series pro late models in their 2009 season openers. Pit gates will open at 10am, practice begins at 1pm with qualifying at 5pm. The race program will begin at 7:30pm and will include racing action from the some of the Watermelon Capital Speedway local divisions and Legends.
