CRA Announces Updates to Schedules of Three Divisions

Salem, IN (March 12, 2009) –Baer Field Speedway announced earlier this week that the Champion Racing Association (CRA) slate of races scheduled for Saturday September 26 has been moved to Sunday August 23.  The original dates had been marked as tentative, while Speedway officials worked on a major "non-racing", full facility event put on by Brooks Construction.  With the Brooks Construction event finalized, track and series officials worked together to move the racing events to the new Sunday date in August.  There will not be any stock car racing on the Saturday night before the new date.

The early Sunday evening show will feature the Howe/CRA Late Model Sportsman, CRA Street Stocks, Vore’s/CRA F.W.D. Compacts and a special Midwest Mini-Stock Challenge.  The event will be known as “CRA’s Super Sunday Back to School Special” with children being admitted free with a paid adult.  Other special activities for kids are planned, as it will be the last day of summer vacation for many area students.

In other schedule related news, CRA officials announced today that an event at Mt. Lawn Speedway has replaced the “T.B.A.” on the CRA Street Stock schedule on June 13.  Speedway Owner/Promoter Rick Sweigart continues to make improvements to his beautiful facility outside New Castle, IN and the return of CRA to the historic short track is highly anticipated.
