CRA Super Series Toledo Speedway Event Moved to August 14th

Salem, IN (July 9, 2009) – Officials with the CRA Super Series and Toledo Speedway have announced that the CRA Super Series event originally scheduled for Friday, July 31st has been moved to Friday, August 14th. That announcement comes with the added information that NASCAR star Kyle Busch will be competing in that event.

"Toledo Speedway ask us to move the event, and we were happy to do it for them," remarked Glenn Luckett, Managing Partner with Champion Racing Association. "We were willing to do our part to help the racetrack make the event more successful. With Kyle Busch coming to race in the event now, that gives Toledo Speedway a better opportunity to have a great show."

The rescheduled date also gives the CRA Super Series teams a break with not having two events in five days, with the rescheduled Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway on July 27th, the teams were then going to have to go to Toledo Speedway four days later, now the next event after the Redbud 300 will be at Berlin Raceway on August 8th.

Luckett added, "I know we have had to make several changes to our schedule this year because of weather and tracks wanting to move some dates. The weather has always been an issue in racing, there is nothing we can do about it. With the bad economy right now, track promoters are having to do different things to try and make our shows work for them, our racers just have to understand we have to be flexible and willing to help those promoters, otherwise we are not going to have any places to race."
