Roahrig Leads K & N
Filters Rookie of the Year Standings After Six Events
Salem, IN (July 31, 2009) –
After six point events so far this season Tyler Roahrig has emerged as
the leader in the CRA Super Series K & N Filters Rookie of the Year
standings in a tight race between the six registered rookie
candidates.
Roahrig
has 324 rookie points to date, in the rookie points each rookie gets
to drop their worst two finishes of the season in the final points
tally to determine the 2009 K & N Filters Rookie of the Year. Nick Lay
is in second place with 306 rookie points, Zach Hulvey is third with
302 rookie points while Brandon Fagin is fourth with 300 rookie
points. Justin Matson is in fifth place with 266 points while Damon
Ecoff is in sixth with 254 points. In overall series Championship
points Roahrig is in eighth, Lay ninth and Fagin is tenth.
Roahrig and Lay have each been the K
& N Filters Rookie of the Race Award winner in two series events to
date collecting the $100 cash bonus and a $25 Product Certificate from
K & N Filters and a $50 Product Certificate from VDL Fuel Systems each
time. Matson and Fagin have each been the K & N Filters Rookie of the
Race Award winner one time this season.
The highest finishing registered
rookie in the K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year Standings will receive
the K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year Award at the 2009 Champion Racing
Association Awards Banquet which will include a $1000 cash bonus, a
jacket and a $100 Product Certificate from K & N Filters. The second
place finisher in the K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year standings will
receive a $300 Cash Bonus from Cometic Gasket.
The K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year
